As an artist, Matt Woodfield possesses a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature and the remarkable stories it holds. Through his artistic vision, he skillfully celebrates the intricate formations shaped over millions of years in fossil coral, transforming them into contemporary works, unprecedented in design.

Matt recognizes the inherent allure and timelessness embedded in Fossil Coral, remnants of ancient reefs preserved in stone. With great reverence for these natural wonders, he harnesses his artistic talent to breathe new life into them, creating progressive designs that honor their rich history.

With an unwavering passion for the ocianic and natrual world, and a deep appreciation for tribal craftsmanship, Matt has spent much of his career living and creating with some of the worlds best ocianic carvers of the Marovo Lagoon in the Solomon Islands. 

This creative journey has led him to establish a product that not only blends the essence of nature with modern aesthetics, but one that utilises sustainable practices and supports local communities, honoring the environment and upliftng the lives of those involved.

Sharing Matt’s vision is his partner Amy, who brings over 20 years of design experience to our creative process. After spending a decade in Florence, Italy, she developed a passion for blending historical traditions and techniques with contemporary design aesthetics. Together they continue to share the remarkable artistry of the Marovo Lagoon in the with the world.
